Boostleak...sorry but i cant find....

Okay, not sure when i started....but my mods are in my signature...

I just did a boost test and it seemed fine the first time(kinda) 8-8-10 all the way up to redline...i either heard the whistles or a vacume leak, not sure my exhuast is to loud :lawl:

Afterwards i took it out again to see if it was constant, it hit 8-8 then 10lbs for about 5rpm to 5.5rpm then dies out to 5, when i get off the gas and step on it again it will jump back up to 10 and hold itself for about another .5rpm...So can someone tell me where to start...I have no idea and searching, still havnt found stuff....

Thanks
Jackie

In a nutshell, you need to remove each rubber coupler/elbow between the turbos, intercooler, and throttle elbow. Turn each one inside out and look for cracks or tears. For the lower intercooler elbow, remove the metal shield. You will usually not find these leaks without removing the couplers from the car.

If those check out, also check the 1" hoses that go from each blowoff valve to the turbo piping. A leak here will cause similar problems.

okay, i replaced my 1"hose(the BOV one) and now it holds 8.5PSI all the way up, so its probably another leak then, but anyone know y my primary is so slow at spooling, it will never spool all the way, it only hits like 7 at the most.

boost test

Take a air compressor and blow it into a vac line. This way you can hear if there are any leaks. You'll have to plug off the intakes to the turbos though. We did it to my friends piece of **** DSM. It worked and we found the leak in no time.
