Question Boost problems back

For months and hours of driving on end my car has held boost perfectly. Thru hot weather cold weather no problems ever. Yesterday it held boost the last thing I did before seing if it held boost was rev it to 8 causing me to think that caused my problem. Today I drove her when tapping on the throttle I can get like 6-8psi. When im WOT the car stays around 5psi for primary and secondary. WTF is going on. I checked basic lines hoses everything seems fine. Any ideas you guys are my best help for these situations.

Wow nobody has any wisdom on this. Could it be my wastegate and turbo precontrol solenoids somehow under he high rev became unplugged. Or some say a solid 5-7psi could mean electrically unplugged??? HELP

Can it be missing pills for Wastgate or the turbo precontrol actuators. Could a 8 thou rpm rev cause this?

Probably a torn coupler somewhere between the turbos and the intake elbow. Sometimes the tear is hard to see unless you actually remove the couplers and inspect them. There have been many posts saying that they searched a long time for a leak and finally found a torn coupler.

I think DaveW picked the most important thing to look for. Spend plenty of time digging in those y-pipe and intercooler hoses and couplers.

Plugs don't become unplugged, and pills don't lose themselves. Those tend to occur after doing work on the engine.

Sounds about right. Yeah I could see a coupler being ripped from the high rev, I will go over them one more time. However I did change 2 couplers to new silicon ones I will definitly take a look. Does a torn coupler sound right for a stock seq system to react thru mainly the entire powerband at 5psi no fluctuating
.

Yes, it does sound reasonable. Torn couplers can have all kinds of responses depending on temperature and RPM, but generally there is a pressure they will hold and no more.

Check the new couplers too - sometimes a small misalignment, pinch of a band clamp, etc can cut them. Or they simply leak at the pipe if the fit isn't perfect.
