A Boost problem to stump you all!

We got a '94 in for a hose job, and he was only boosting 5psi off of the secondary. We replaced all the hoses, and 4 solinoids. We also found holes in 2 of the couplers. We got it back together and were only getting 2psi throughout the rpm band. We went back in, double checked all the solinoids, and double checked all the vacuum lines (found a couple check valves backwards). Took it for a ride and we were still only boosting to 2psi, though every once and a while it would shoot up to 10psi for one gear and then drop back down. The pills in the actuator lines were mistakenly thrown out so we replaced those with 62thousandths nitrous jets as reccomended by rotary performance, and we are still only getting 2psi though sometimes if you get on it, get off then real quick get back on it, it will jump up to 10psi for 1 gear. Also, when you let off to shift it is makeing a higher pitched BOWWWWWWW noise instead of the standard blow off.

We are all stumped at this point and don't know what to do. Any guru's out there with any advise??? This is why I went Non-Sequential lol.

Did you replace your check valves? If not, test them to see if they flow properly.

could be a bad BOV. put a vacuum hose on it. Suck on it, pinch the hose, and see if you can blow through the BOV (if you dont have a vacuum/pressure tool.
If its building up 10psi on occasion.
Then theres still a leak. Perhaps the Vacuum Chamber or Pressure Chamber is not refilling or functioning as it should, because there is leak somewhere still.
My boost problem got better when I did the rats nest but a new problem occured. Even though its all process of elimation, its neverending and Im just tired of messn with it. Hope you guys solve it. Keep us posted.

instead of using jets, try using a bleeder valve (cost like 10 bucks at max

Naturally, of course, go here...

The jump off it, then back on it and get boost until next gear sounds exactly like a vacuum chamber leak or faulty check valve leading to the vacuum chamber. The turbo control actuator requires BOTH vacuum and pressure to operate correctly, and the vacuum is supplied by the vacuum chamber while under boost. If there is a leak in the vacuum chamber, no vacuum control during boost, and turbo control actuator is either slow to actuate, or won't actuate at all. Quick off throttle builds vacuum enough fast enough to allow a resevoir of vacuum to be available during that one turbo control actuator event, but the vacuum will be gone by the next gear, like you describe.
