Boost and other issues

I am still trying to get my car to run right. First my boost issue. I hit 15psi at WOT and when I do a 3rd gear pull without boosting past 10psi I loose all boost at 5K. I can hear that there is a exhaust leak in the turbo area. My DP also gets red hot. Another problem I have is my idle. It will be good at 750ish but as soon as I start drving it will idle at 1.5k and if I drive fairly hard it will some times idle as high as 2.5K. I took it to my local cayon and did a decent speed run and when I got to the end the car really wanted to die. I believe it is an electrical problem because if any elecctrical device was turned on it would drop the idle and when I turned on the A/C it nearly died.

First off, we need to know your modifications. If you hit 15psi on the primary, something is REALLY wrong. It sounds like your turbo pre-control actuator/solenoid (like a wastegate for the primary only) is not opening. In turn, it'll never pre-spool the secondary turbo. Also, your turbo control actuator/solenoid could be bad too.

Dude, if your hittin 15 psi, you gotta be leanin it out. Im suprised you dont hit fuel cut off every time. . . And yes i agree with Walien... your vacuum lines or solinoids are messed up. May be time to get a silicone hose job!!

Yeah I was plannin on having to do the vacuum hose job soon. I have looked at that site already I just havent had the time to go over everything yet. I try not to hit 15psi. I have a Pettit ECU probably unlimited because I havent hit fuel cut . Intake, DP and catback. I also have my battery relocated to the trunk.

Nevermind the boost problem. Today my idle was around 2.5 to 3k!! It would not drop. Any ideas?

mods?? I had this problem and the source was a blown secondary injector. it was stuck open and the pfc "learned my idle and set it to 2500 to compensate for the fuel......... I think.... I have yet to see if that was the probelem after I upgrade my fuel system

Yeah I think it is an injector problem because when I drove home on the freeway it stopped doing? Maybe me being on the throttle burned off the excess fuel. My mod list is a couple posts above.

Try adjusting your TPS. It solved many of my idling problems...Just a thought.

I checked the TPS a couple of days ago and it seemed to be in the ok ranges.

find a rotary specialist that knows what they are doing or start making friends with the search button.

you have both a boost leak as well as vacuum issues. if you aren't careful, you'll have a blown motor too.
