whenever i am producing boost, i hear an air noise that increases with the amount of boost. someone suggested that it might be a leak in the intercooler pipe couplings, yet i managed a 14.1 on the quarter, so i don't think i'm losing power. any ideas?

I had something similar although my hose made a horrible noise, and it only happened once the hose got warm.
I wasn't losing boost either (at least not enough to be detectable).
i can get alittle noise to but it stops when the 2nd turbo kicks in and i can't hear it every time. I don't get any boostdrop so i don't know what it could be. Don't think it's the turbo cause the noise is very low and i can't see any oil leak from the turbo.
I have kind of the same problem. I hear air leaking to atmosphere in the enginebay when under boost.
My boost-readings have dropped from .9bar to .5!
Rwhp have dropped from 255 to 189!
I will try to find the leak tomorrow.
My plan is to plumb the intake hoses and apply compressed air through one of the intake manifold nipples. This should reveal the leak (hopefully)!

If you are hearing any whoosh noise other than the turbo wine, it’s a boost leak. Try checking the intake hoses especially couplings, if that’s not it, it could be a CRV or ABV but I doubt it.
