A boost leak

I have a boost leak but i can't find out where it is comming from. I have the efini y pipe so i don't think it is a coupler. I have an fmic with silicone couplers that are still kind of new so i don't think it is leaking from those couplers. i checked all the 1" diameter houses and they are all tight.

Well, the problem is that on the primary turbo there is only like 4 psi. The pattern is 4-0-12. What do you guys think it could be?

I'm pretty sure that the primary turbo needs to make more than 7psi of boost to get the secondary spooling and eventually switching over. If you had a boost leak then you would not be able to acheive this let alone 12 psi of boost after transition.

It doesn't sound like a boost leak at all -- your 12 PSI means the system is holding pressure. It's more likely the valves/etc that control the turbo operation. See the troubleshooting guide:

On the primary turbo i can hear a leak, it is kind of loud because i am losing a lot of boost.

That doesn't make sense. If the primary is losing boost than the secondary will also. There is no way that you would acheive 12psi after transition. Do you know how the turbo system is plumbed? Its more than likely the turbo control solinoids. Use that trouble shooting guide or search for common threads with this problem.

Your problem that you are having is the reason I went non-sequential when I had my twins. A lot less problems and worries.

Yeah, with a boost leak you'd be seeing reduced psi on both turbos, not just one.

I'm betting that your charge control valve isn't opening properly. Check all the vacuum hoses going to/from the charge control actuator (the golf-ball sized one). Also make sure the system is holding vacuum and pressure.

If you're good there then run the KOKO test. http://www.fd3s.net/boost_test.html
