boost issues

here's my problem. With the stock ecu my boost pattern was 12-8-12 with a little creep in third at WOT (sometimes). Now my gauge may be a little off but that's not the point. Every once in a while I would get about 6psi and no more until I let off the gas and stomped back on it. I have just put in the power fc and I now get a pattern of 8-6-15. Jason @ rx7store has said it's not a problem with the computer but more likely a check valve or vacuum hose under the UIM. Can anyone comment on this or share there opions. Along the same lines, There is a long hesitation at 6psi before transition and then it's like a bat out of hell and shoots to fifteen. A very long hesitation before transition, does this point to anything in particular. Thanks in advance for anyones help

alright no takers, let me revise this a little. I looked under the UIM and nothing is off as far as hoses go. I did notice the cross member was loose on both sides of the rubber coupler. I still get like 15 psi at WOT after transition but I will wait till my new gauge comes to see if it is acurate. My question is, is this normal, When I am in too high of a gear and mash the gas it seems to lag a lot, on the other hand if I downshift, feather the throttle or just pull through the gears it seems ok. Any ideas on the issue or is this normal. By the way it has intake, dp, cat back and power fc (and 15 psi?). I am concerned about the amount of boost and the lag it has before transition. Is there any chance it could be a loose harness as someone suggested? Please help!!!
