Boost Gauge

I know this will sound trivial for most, but I've never done it. I figure since I'm going to install my alternator I might as well install my boostgauge and pillar so I can ship the pillar off. Where do I hook the hose up from the boost gauge? I can't imagine that it would hard to hook it up, but I have no clue as to where it goes.

There is a capped nipple on the passenger side of the upper intake manifold. Many people, including myself, use that. Easy access.

I tee'd mine in just before the filter in the line that goes to the MAP (boost) sensor.

That resulted in a shorter line and better gauge response.

Where do you run the hose through the firewall? I was looking and i couldn't figure out where I should run it, if there's already a hole that it'll fit or if I need to drill one....ideas?

Don't mean to sound retarded, upper intake manifold is where?

Run it through the steering wheel rubber. Right where the shaft goes intot he firewall. Just cut a little hole, tape a clothes hanger to the hose, and pull it through the other side. The upper intake manifold is on the top of the engine, connects to the throttle body. There will be a little cap on it, just take that off and hook the end of the hose to it. Piece of Cake

damn sweet, i thought that's what it was but I didn't spend time looking tonight....I'll hook up the boost gauge tomorrow so I can see how bad my turbos really are. It is amazing however how much better the car feels after replacing the alternator
