My boost seems to be acting weird. Primary turbo boost is fine but when the secondary boost is supposed to kick in the boost goes down. Anyone know why that is? Is my turbos going bad?

This happened to me once. I was really happy when I found which was the problem: a broken hose from one of the solenoids. When secondary kicked in there was a loud noise easy to hear...

 

check your turbo control actuator, its on the link mahjik posted. sometimes the clip comes off causing your problem. btw what is you boost at 7k rpms?

 

Thanks guys. I will check on it in a couple days when I have off. Im not too sure what my boost is at 7K rpm, but it decreases gradually from 12psi down below 5psi. There is no kick at all when the secondary is supposed to kick in.
