Boost creep / spike

After reading quite a few post about the subject I would like your opinion on whether I will be quetting any boost creep/ spike problems. I am receiving a POWER FC tuned to c. 11 psi

My mods are

- Mild Street port
- HKS Downpipe
- PFS Intercooler
- M2 CAI

I thank you all in advance

Riccardo

What do you want to know?

Controlling boost with the PFC has been achieved by some people but others, such as myself, run a PFC and a boost controller (profec b) to controll boost.

You will need to put your car on a dyno and get it tuned properly, tuning by mail with a PFC doesn't work.

Thanks for the response FormerPorscheGuy
The way I see it is since I have a relatively restrictive exhaust I might not run into these problems...what do you think ?

riccardo ti kanis re

you shouldnt get any boost creep as the cat and catback are restricting that airflow. I was able to control my boost at 12 with intake and full exhaust and streetport. When I lowered it to 7 it would get to 11-12 by the higher rpms so I experienced creep but I had a pettit ecu just in case. Id be worried about spike on yours or just plain too high of boost. A manual ball and spring boost controller works great. Ive made a few of them now and Im very happy with it.

I don't think you will get spikes or creep with your setup. As others have stated, a boost controller is a good idea.

Thanks for the replies guys
I spoke to the guys at Gotham on the subject, which by the way are very helpfull, and they told me that as long as I have my stock cat system I shouldn;t have any creep or spike issues
