boost creep with pfc and wastegate porting
hey my clutch went out and its gonna be a little while before it gets here so i decided to take on a few other projects.
i searched about this and still had some questions
i bolted on my MP,
so im running 3" stainless dp/mp + apex gtspec
so i know im almost definately going to have boost creep issues, i searched and a few people say the pfc controls it very well, and others said it doesnt.
i was also planning on converting to non seq, which some people ALSO say helps control boost creep to an extent, but other said they still have creep
so, if im going to be running non seq with the pfc, with my full exhaust, am i still likely to have boost creep? or should i pull my wastegate and port it to be safe? im about an hour from having the turbo's out of my car so its not no much of a project.
thanks

Do not take a chance every car is different so if one hour to get the turbo out is all you spend plus porting you would be foolish not to make a free improvement .Do it now for alittle time or latter spending several hours , any free improvement is worth it with out a question

I have the same set up. pettit intake dp,mp, and the gt spec. I went non-sequential "I just didnt want any spikes". I also did the home made boost controler. I still can not control my boost even with the b.c wide open. I can control it if I put my silencer in. The silencer makes a big difference, with out it I probly would boost like 17psi, with it, I can control it down to 9psi. So I would say to port the waste gate....... Good luck.. If you do, give me a pm and tell me how it worked out.....

Essentially what Dan did with his silencer is turn it into a restrictor plate. Good way to control boost creep by keeping the exhaust gas IN the pipes.

Did you port your wastegates when you had your engine out? Just asking...because I didn't ...BUT I do have 4 X 850cc injectors so I have PLENTY of fuel
