boost creep.... have some questions..(searched)

installed my midpipe yesterday, and am getting some nice boost creep above 5k rpms. have a boost controller that didnt help at all, and also have a pfc which didnt help. i know i am going to need a restrictor plate , but where do i get one or do i have to make one myself? also would the rx7store midpipe with the magna muffler in it control boost creep? i have a racingbeat cat-back so my exhaust isnt completely straight throught. any help apreciated.

No idea how much it costs, I did it myself. But let me tell you, it's quite labor intensive. I think most people make restrictor plates themselves. Just get a sheet of aluminum and some snips and get to work. I never tried this method, as I pulled the turbos as soon as creep started getting bad.

i think it was around 150 bucks to do it. if you run mid pipe and want to keep your motor port your wastegate, get 1200 secondarys, and fuel pump with the pfc should be enought to keep it at proper fuel leves. porting the wastegate is the only way i know of to control boost creep.

well my pfc's fuel levels are set for 13psi so my motor isnt going to be harmed. its creeping to .85 bar (12.32psi) by 7330 rpms. so the creeping isnt really bad but its enough. i just want to keep it at 10psi until i get it retuned. i never rev over 7500 rpms anyway so i think a restrictor plate will be ok for now. making one out of stainless steel today with a 2" hole in the middle , so we will see the outcome.

You decided to run a midpipe because you want more power but you need to port the stock wastegate to prevent boost creep. Why you still want restrictor plate to decrease the power??
This is the only way you can keep the boost creep away, otherwise, it will blow your motor. I did some research on MP and porting WS.
Porting a WS is not that expensive and some of the members may help you to port it.
