bogus or no?
I was talkin to a guy today while i was at work, and he happened to mention that he has a '94 White base with 22k miles on it. we got to talking about his car, and he said that these were his following mods: DP, HF Cat, HKS CB exhaust, PFS SMIC, Koyo, Aluminum AST, and a M2 flashed ECU. He then went on to tell me that he was changing his boost settings by changing out the WG pills, and that he was pushing 417 hp on a dynopack with race gas, tuning the flashed ECU with his wideband and laptop for 11:1 AFR's. He said with pump gas he is pushing 360 or 370 on stock twins at 12psi. I kept my mouth shut so i didn't offend him/**** him off, but if i knew how to raise the BS flag on here, i would. What do you guys think? Is he full of **** or possibly telling the truth?
He also said that he was running 16 or 17 psi on his primary, and then 12-15 on his secondary, all on stock fuel system. I thought that the 417 was a optomistic at best, and more than likely a load of ****, but when i heard that he was running 16 or 17 psi on his primary and not hitting fuel cut on a stock, flashed ecu, i had to bite my cheek to keep myself from laughing.

The stock fuel system at 85% or above on injector duty cycle CAN deliver up to ~360 hp, though it is not a good idea to push things this far. Now, the stock ECU won't allow that, but a flashed unit could.
I think your friend is being optimistic at best, though by all accounts he STILL has one helluva a car with nicely integrated mods.

lol, ya, He was trying to slather on the **** as he told it to me, i had to keep myself from bustin out laughing at him. First thing i asked when he told me that he was putting 417 to the ground was what single he had or if he had BNR stage 3 twins, and when he told me that the engine and turbos were stock. Then i was like "what fuel mods do you have, 850 primaries and 1600 secondaries?" thinking he just turned the boost way the f*$k up with a huge fuel system and pulled those numbers. His response: stock, all stock. You're right, he is a clever bullshitter, but a bullshitter nonetheless. he walked away and i just shook my head at him.

I blow my stock fuel system when i'm at 14 PSI on my FD that i bought for just 2 weeks. even thought he install 1600 injectors on secondaries, the stock engine itself cannot handle such HP unless with proper tuning and stand alone ECU.
