my dad washed my car today, and when i went to pick it up i started driving and it started bogging when i hit any boost.

i was like wth...

at the pay and spray car wash, he washed the engine bay, using spraying soap and rinsing away.
he did block the intake piping, and the car was only ran for a few minutes (the car wash is only 3 blocks away)

so idk, i shut off the car and turn it back on, its fine for a few seconds then the chech engine light comes on.

could it be map related?

im pretty sure something haad to screw up, but what could it be?

Just to get you on your way here is a little advice. If you wash a car and it runs like crap afterwords check your plug wires. If it looks like there is blue sparks coming off the out side of it your wires a shot, so replace them do your plugs while you are at it.

Next you could have a leak in you ic piping some were check for a boost leak and replace as needed.

 

ive had a boost leak before, its not that

its shuddering violently like it is hitting fuel cut.

also what is my system obd1 or obd2?
its a 1993 r1

 

Search - there's a how-to on checking engine codes. Takes a short piece of wire and 5 minutes - VERY easy.
