exaust temprature sender

another quick question guys,,,im installing an exaust temprature gauge,,,i was just gonna tap the sensor into my new greddy down pipe as close to the turbo as possible.... is this ok ,, will my reading be reasonably usefull (ive noticed some people getting really creative and placing the sensor into the turbo mainifold closer to the engine..
im just wanting to know if my postition will be ok?

I just installed my DEFI today and I tapped mine right at the bottom bend of the downpipe. I had a lot of clearance and temps fluctuates anywhere between 400 C to 660 C driving and idling. I think you should be fine.

As long as you have clearance for the sending unit, you will be fine.

Yes, that is a good place. Thats were mine is. You will almost read off the gauge once you get it on the dyno and start tuning though. But this is normal for a rotary to have super hot exhaust temps.
