BNR Stage 3 CHRA Options Question

My understanding is that the BNR stage 3 uses Garrett GT28 CHRAs. Has anyone investigated the possibility of using GT28RS or GTX28 series CHRAs?

Requires different machining and creates problems. I asked Bryan about this a while back.

Any options for twin upgrades that provide ball bearings and billet impellers?

ATP is able to machine GT2871R and GTX2867R to fit within a GT28R compressor housing, so it doesn't seem like too far of a stretch to apply the same approach to our Hitachi turbos if a GT28R can fit.

That's the point. The gt28r doesn't always fit according to my last conversation with him.

Wait, the BNR stage 3 uses the GT28R CHRA, correct?

Therefore, if stage 3 uses GT28R, it would stand to reason that a GT2871R CHRA could also fit given that ATP is able to fit a GT2871R CHRA within a compact GT28R compressor housing.

Fitting a compressor larger than the 2860 is really an exercise in futility as the turbine housings choke before the 2860 compressor runs out steam. Been testing/researching this in earnest for several years now and I'm looking into casting some twin's housings in a larger A/R. I think then the benefit of a larger compressor section can be realized.
