I am looking forward in getting these turbos. Is there any problems associated with these turbos and is there any sugustions in going sequential or not.
Thanks

I had these turbos running sequentially and there are no smoking problems with mine. Some had a few leak but by now Bryan has worked out all the bugs. Mine were perfect and put down 380 rwhp at 15 psi with a HF cat - full 15 psi by 2800 rpms. Get the unclipped wheels though - seems like they spool faster and still have good top end. Can't say enough about these stage 2s I have.....or had.

Supposedly the stage 3s were having trouble with burning oil, but from what I understand that's been fixed or is in the process of. If you get a set and have the problem I'd imagine they would honor a warranty of some sort since everyone speaks pretty highly of BNR. Sequential or non-sequential is a matter of personal preference. When I order mine I'll be runing them parallel (non-sequential).

i got them through the rx7 store and i dont notice any change from my stock turbos. i think they may have sent me stage 1 turbos is there a way to tell by looking at them if they are stage twos. i put down 334 at 14psi. seems low if kwikrx7 is making 380.

The car should pull harder than the stockers at lower boost, but you'll really feel the difference from 16-18 psi.

Also, you can tell the diff between Stage 1 and 2 by looking at the compressor wheels. They are quite different on the upgraded BNR wheels.

IIRC, barry had a standard KDR Street port, which (based on opening up my motor) is fairly conservative. My exhaust ports were untouched.

I might have to rain on your parade here .

My exhaust ports *were* stock, about 5k miles ago. Now I have Steve's patented "Super Duper Turbo Spooling Ports" on the exhaust. Yes, we are going to patent that handle

I'm pretty sure that 911 was a new non-turbo. Those things (tt's) are absolute monsters, especially at lower speeds. They trap around 115 or so, with SPOauto's Stage 3 beast trapping at 125. So, the outcome would've been the same, just not quite the slaughter that it was

Funny this thread came up...I was on the way to work this morning and did a few wot runs. The last one as soon as I hit 4500rpm I get smoke in my face through the AC vent...secondary gone/going for sure....damnit. Anyway, after reading the Stage 3 oil issues I decided to try the stege 2s...So I have steve at gotham working up another estimate for me...Rich, I guess I could take it down there anytime but would rather wait till you get back so you can gimmie a ride in your stage 3 beast.

There really isnt an issue with the stage 3 turbos, the turbos themselves are fine. The oil just isnt being restricted enough and they fill up to much with oil. Brian has a restrictor pill on his car right now and they arent smoking at all. He just wants to put some miles on them and pull them apart to make sure they turbos are happy with that amount of oil. It shouldnt be too much longer before he knows something and can send people new "restrictor pills"

Thumbs up

Thanks for putting the word out in public, Steve-o. I'm thinking that those with "smokey" sets just didn't have the oil orifices small enough. Let all throughout the land rejoice
