ok heres my deal...i bought a fd for 3000 and it didnt run. i got it running a couple of weeks ago and it sounds like it is ported but i dont know if it is or not it could be blown.i have no backround info on the car so i dont know if the engine was rebuilt or not...the odometer says it has 120000 miles on the car.

good vacuum- -16 on boost gauge
starts up fine
boost good

 

What idle rpm is that 16 inches at? Assuming around 1000, the motor isn't blown.

 

its at 900

 

From your description, it does not sound blown. Do a compression test and that will tell you if there is anything weak internally.
