blowing smoke???

hi guys im new to the site, anyways i picked up an rx on friday, its fresh in from japan.. anyways only drove it for a couple of hours and now its blowing out alot of smoke, its smoking on idle but when you accelerate it kind of clears a bit but when you ease off a massive puff of smoke comes out of it??
theres alot of mods on the car including a massive apexi single turbo..
any suggestions on wat it cud be as i dont know much about these cars

em the colour is a whitey blue colour, smells like oil anyways, there was a bit of oil around the turbo too, cud it be the turbo???

i just blew my turbo yesterday and i had blue smoke coming out and a big puff when i revved it sp it might be.

get a compression test and check the coolant pressure.

read the FAQ section at the top of this thread..

maybe the link should be flashing green neon that says "Noobs Start Here --> RX7 faq, info, how to and much much more".

or maybe "Just buy a RX7 and know absolutely nothing about it --> START HERE!"



Although, that Veilside front bumper and body kit could be causing ALL the smoke you see, remove it and put on the factory or 99 spec bumperand things might clear up fast!

em actually i did search and cudnt really find any info on wats wrong:P

and also why wud i take off the kit???

well does anybody else hav some usefull info for me, instead of jus TRYING to slag me off???

That aside, I think your car is committing suicide.

either that or maybe you have an oil leak around the turbo? You know since there's fresh oil around the turbo and it's blowing smoke out the exhaust, seems logical don't you think? possibly the turbo is pushing oil and needs to be rebuild.

yeah cheers for the info mate, nearly sure its the turbo, gonna strip it off and get it rebuilt..
