block weld fix?

hey, i found a nice deal on a 7. it's got around 75-80k miles. he had an o ring leak, so he used the 'block weld trick'. i have no idea what this is. does it actually fix, and how long is it good for before ui have to put in a new engine?

if everything else with the car is good and no problems i think it's worth 8500. If you invest another 3-4k in it, it can be a beast.

If it has ~80k miles w/ an O-ring leak, your 1st mod should be opening a savings account for a rebuild. Other than that, just drive it until it dies, then rebuild.
