The gain refers to the response speed, higher the number=faster response (but could risk over shoot). I have mine set on about 65. The boost setting (in manual) is set to 60 to get 14.5 psi. (this will vary slightly from car to car, depending on how well your WG is working). Start from 40 and play with it.

Let's see....
Intake, dp, high flow cat, catback
Tein coilovers, Fluidyne rad, FMIC
UR pulleys, Pettit unlimited ecu.
That about covers the performance mods.

The Mods I have are: Street port w3mm/Intake/full exhaust/ignition/Pettit ecu/Act pressure plate w/rps disc/
Kazz diff/4.33 gears/M2 Large IC/ported wastegate/ect.

I was thinking that the Blitz would control the amount of boost weather Day or night...Wrong...! that's why they give you 4 individual boost settings.

For the Day time... I set the "Set" around 45... and the "gain" at 28. The Gain setting is Cool...! When first installing this and testing I went by the instructions and set the Gain to 15... Did it ever lag... now set to 28 and it really jumps alive....

But at night I have the "Set" at a little lower with the colder temps here.

Why doesnt the SBC-ID hold a steady boost under changing atmospheric conditions? Where does it get the reading for the boost level..I take it it doesnt read it off the ECU?

Gain setting too high will cause boost spikes and boost
tappering off at the higher rpm.

I lowered my gain setting to about 24. And now consistant boost til red-line and less spiking.

This boost controller is COOL!!!
