same thing happened to me. when i bought the car i blew the engine a month later. i replaced it and dont regret doing it. although if it goes again (if im in my current financhial situation) id sell it too. too much maintence. ive learned its more of a toy car then something to be driven every day. things go wrong, and things break, you just have to know your limit of what your going to spend on it.

The motor detonated in a first gear pull going onto a freeway. PFC read a peak knock of 105 (which really shouldn’t be high enough to blow the seals) and that was the end of my motor. It shouldn’t have leaned out because Kan just tuned my motor for **** gas and went with a very conservative tune...
I’m 100% the motor has blown apex seals because the idle has gone to ****, car has no power, cant boost, isn’t burning fuel and map sensor is connected just fine.
As for FD3S2005, I think its f'ed up that you "hate" me cause I blew my motor and want to sell my car. I have spent over 17K on my FD in the last two years mostly on repairs and reliability mods. I didn’t buy the car because "its cool looking and fast or what ever" either. I waited for six years to buy my first FD, bought it when I got my first good paying job that could support the cost of ownership, and did it for my own driving pleasure. But this car is making it impossible for me to save for my first home because I keep dipping into my savings to fix a never ending list of issues...
Anyways, do you guys think I should part the car or sell it as a roller? Mod list below...

If you keep it, you might never be able to save for the house you want. If you part out the car it could take awhile to sell off everything and you would systematically see your hard work disintigrate before your eyes which will really bum you out. You should sell the car as-is. Then later down the line after you have the house, you still have the option of buying another one and get that feeling of fixing it up all over again!
