I agree with RX7Rage. Please describe the situation and issues.

Occassionally, some people experience what they think could be a blown engine but could fortunately be something else.

There was some guy selling a 91 nsx with 85000 miles on it for only 26k in las vegas. I was gonna check it out last fall when i was there but there was no point in getting that at that time.

If you part out your car, you can get more money.

im sorry but i hate people like you, buy the 7 because its cool looking and fast or what ever you think then when something goes wrong people like you sell it, you knew this was going to happen some day, why didnt you just buy a reliable car then ? im sorry but i really do hate people who buy the car then when something goes wrong "oh time to sell"

same thing happened to me. when i bought the car i blew the engine a month later. i replaced it and dont regret doing it. although if it goes again (if im in my current financhial situation) id sell it too. too much maintence. ive learned its more of a toy car then something to be driven every day. things go wrong, and things break, you just have to know your limit of what your going to spend on it.

The motor detonated in a first gear pull going onto a freeway. PFC read a peak knock of 105 (which really shouldn’t be high enough to blow the seals) and that was the end of my motor. It shouldn’t have leaned out because Kan just tuned my motor for **** gas and went with a very conservative tune...

I’m 100% the motor has blown apex seals because the idle has gone to ****, car has no power, cant boost, isn’t burning fuel and map sensor is connected just fine.

As for FD3S2005, I think its f'ed up that you "hate" me cause I blew my motor and want to sell my car. I have spent over 17K on my FD in the last two years mostly on repairs and reliability mods. I didn’t buy the car because "its cool looking and fast or what ever" either. I waited for six years to buy my first FD, bought it when I got my first good paying job that could support the cost of ownership, and did it for my own driving pleasure. But this car is making it impossible for me to save for my first home because I keep dipping into my savings to fix a never ending list of issues...

Anyways, do you guys think I should part the car or sell it as a roller? Mod list below...

Engine-
Upgraded Water Seals
99 Spec Turbochargers
Greddy SMIC
Racing Beat Exhaust
Bonez Hi-Flow Cat
RX7 Fashion Down-pipe
RX7 Fashion Intake
Aluminum Intake Piping
Pettit AST
Odyssey PC680 Battery
Fighters Garage Battery Tray
T-Bolt Clamps
Black Silicone Couplers

Fuel-
Apexi Power FC – Tuned by Kan
New 550/1300cc Injectors
Denso Supra TT Pump
Re-Wired Fuel Pump

Transmission-
ACT Street Clutch

Suspension-
Zeal B2 Coilovers
Track Rate Springs

Tires-
Bridgestone Potenza RE90A

Brakes-
Racing Brake Rotors
Porterfield R4S Pads
Motul RBF600 Fluid

Interior-
Race Shop Roll Bar
Recaro SPG
Bride Rails
Sabelt 4pt Harness
Personal Steering Wheel
G.R. PFC Holder
Custom Floor Mats

Exterior-
Fender Roll + Pull
R1 Lip

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. But why did this happen, especially in 1st gear? How much fuel was in the tank?

"...First gear pull on the freeway..."

Was the car warmed up? Had you been sitting in traffic?

What's your cooling setup like? Which radiator? Which oil cooler(s)?

New 550/1300cc Injectors
I would never trust bored out 850cc injectors. If you have seen how the factory make an injector, you would never go near a hand built and bored out injector.

If you keep it, you might never be able to save for the house you want. If you part out the car it could take awhile to sell off everything and you would systematically see your hard work disintigrate before your eyes which will really bum you out. You should sell the car as-is. Then later down the line after you have the house, you still have the option of buying another one and get that feeling of fixing it up all over again!

Dump another $3-4K into it, and install a Factory or better rebuild, with just (4) 850cc injectors and enjoy.

If you have the time, part it out for max. return.
