big fuel pumps

which fuel pumps make that whining noise at idle? bigger than stock im guessing? and how much do they go for?

Am I wrong in assuming that you want a fuel pump just for the noise?? If that is the case, you are looking for all the wrong reasons!! you do not need a "noisy" fuel pump anytime soon I assure you and something that big will only cause problems with tuning unless you are going all out. As for the noise though- the SX external pump with a sumped tank is a good fuel setup, but WAAAYYY over kill for the majority of FD's.. Just get the nippon denso and use something with function, not form.

I am running a Walbro 255 and I cannot here the pump "whine", although my car is rather loud. However, I don't think "whine" is too noticable with this pump. My friends with DSMs are also running the pump, and I cannot here it in any of their cars either.
