So we're in the same family...

There is a extremely mod friendly community in your neck of the woods in Texas.
All the 55K boys are planning to go to the mile.
So is that a 06 CLS55? Fastest CLS55 is 11.5 @124. So you have a lot of work cut out for you.
You will need a pulley tune and long tube headers plus a modified fuel rail with bigger injectors. These motors go boom with cylinder #8 starving for fuel bc of a poor factory fuel rail design.
All motors go boom when pulling WOT @130mph plus in third gear.

Let me know if you need to be pointed in the right direction with tunes (OE/ Eurocharged/Renntech/Kleeman). I've been modding AMGs for the last 8 years. Im on my 4th one.
www.MBWorld.org is okay, but the 55 Kompressors pretty much runs the planetsupercar forum.
I highly suggest you check it out. Did you get a extended warranty?

CLS forum on MBWorld is dead, hang out in the E55/E63 section.

I've been on the MBWorld.org forum several times. If you know a shop in Dallas that you would recommend let me know. Point me in the right direction....

As for the warranty...the car had 44K miles on it and the only thing they could do at the Mercedes dealership was certify the car...i decided to keep the $5K and look for an aftermarket warranty. The certified warranty would only have lasted for 1 year. I am the 2nd owner of the car. it was bought, serviced and traded in all at the same dealership...parkplace mercedes.

thanks for your help in advance...

Find a guy named Shardul on MBWorld. I think he is in Houston. He has all the hookups and he is a extremely knowledgeable and handy guy to know.

The Houston crowd are all Eurocharged guys ( I am also as well). Get hooked up with a ECU/TCU tune, pulley, heat exchanger and your good to go. Eurocharged does remote tunes and once in a while they will fly down to do a dyno tune session. All the tunes are the same depending what mods you have. Jeremy and Jake are the owners and they are out of Chicago.
They do a lot of cars in Texas.

That is correct....Bruce at Beck Imports
Becks Imports, LLC

Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054

Phone: 856-912-2600
E-Mail: sales@becksimports.com

Bruce Mendel, Owner

Extremely knowledgable guy

I also suggest you check out PlanetSupercar Forums.
http://www.planetsupercar.com/forum/...isplay.php?f=6

We are all moving there after MBWorld has recently starting banning members for fabricating their own parts after several complaints from vendors.

Also get familiar with the car faults.....
Airmatic Suspension (prone to fail, leaving the car collapsed on the ground like a old lincoln)
If it fails, have Arnott Industries build you a replacement $400+core each corner as opposed to paying $1500 +labor at dealer.
ABC (Electronic) Braking (this is covered by Mercedes Benz, your car may or may not have it) Its very weird. The braking system is covered for 10 years/100kmiles becuase of a known defect. Again i dont know if it applies to 06 AMGs as they fixed it around then.
CPS (Crank Position Sensor) very easy to replace. $150 part at delaership. Car will leave you stranded with CEL
Battery Note car has two of them.....Big one is in the trunk. Little Aux Battery is upfront and handles climate control, sat nav, air conditioned/heated powered seats. A replacement at Walmart can found for $80. Get the 14BS.
Fuel Tanks they leak......period......bad. Mercedes refuses to fix it. Bad fuel sender design under the rear driver side seat. The connection cracks at the fuel tank. Fill up your car on a hot day and fumes start leaking into the cabin and puddling on the floor in your garage over time. As of now Mercedes will not cover it......period... They call it "wear and tear" even though you have a 8 year/80k emissions warranty. This may change in the upcoming months as currently they NHTSA has a investigation into this problem.......70 of us on MBworld filed a complaint with the NHTSA and now they are nvestigating the problem. However this only for the W211 platform but the CLS and E Class share the same gas tank. A special note is that my local dealership changes on average 8 tanks and fuel senders/pumps a week @ $ 3,500 a pop
