yep there were no whites in 93...plus all the FDs had pretty poor quality paint jobs from the factory but the 93s had it worse than the 94-95 if I can recall. Also the 93s had dashes that were painted with cheap paint that peeled off over time so look out for that. I don't know if this was fixed in early or late 94 but it was fixed after 93. Yeah in general the newer the year the better the car will be in terms of having all of the bugs fixed, but even our late model 95's are still not comparible to Japan's models from 99 and up, but there's nothing you can do about that...you take what you can get. Although 93s had it rougher than the 94-95, if you find a well cared for and babied 93, it might just be a better buy than a 94-95 that's been driven with over 150K miles on the chassis and gone through 2 rebuilt engines or more. Plus the 93 had the R1 edition and 94-95 had the R2 edition which both came with cloth seats instead of leather in the Touring models, as well as dual oil cooler and I think some other stuff which I'm not sure. If you want leather, then don't get an R1/R2 model but I'd get it for the dual oil coolers cuz I don't care much for leather. Pretty much any year FD in good shape is a good buy these days cuz they're all considered old cars these days no matter the year. If you find a great condition 93 before a 94-95, don't hold off for the later years...just get the 93 since 93s are easier to come by than 94-95 since they made more of them. Visually I don't think there's much if any difference between the three years. Good luck in your search!
