Question Best way to insert new stud into manifold?

So I got the broken stud out and have a new one to insert, my question is what is the best way to get it in - put the bolt on it and then ratchet it in with that then undo the bolt, but the y -pipe on and reapply bolt?

Makes sense to me but I'm just guessing.. Thanks

I don't know what you mean by 'put the bolt on it', but here's what you should do. Put two nuts on one end of the stud and tighten them against each other. Use a rachet to put the stud in. Remove the nuts. Done

Do you use any thread compound when installing these studs? Loctite or anything? Mine were so lose when I took the DP off, I barely had to use a wrench.

I use Loctite on the studs and anti sieze on the bolts. That way when you need to undo it one of these days the bolt will come off fairly easy and leave the studs in place.
