1999 2 door Tacoma

1996 4 bedroom house w/2 car garage

Don't get me wrong...I drive my car often. But I can't tell you how much less I worry about shopping carts, idiot kids, idiot drivers, dirt roads (actually look forward to those) etc. when I'm in the Tacoma.

And...because I have two vehicles, I'm not as afraid to work on one and screw up on something (or just find out I need a part, etc.) and then be stuck like Chuck.

After that, it's my current mods:
Downpipe, cat-back, Pettit ECU, and Cheap Bastard Intake. Now the car is really starting to feel alive....

To piggyback on what jdhuegel1 said, the best thing I did for my FD was to get on this forum, so I could learn how to properly care for her.

The rest followed from there....

Since this old thread is getting bumped, I might as well post...

As my long list of mods grows, I still feel the best thing I could have done for my car was have it painted. With a proper base coat/clear coat of PPG, it truly looks amazing. The repaint spawned a complete engine bay revamp,...again. Its looks finally matched its performance. The car is now getting to the level I have wanted.

A close 2nd are my Work Meister wheels.... I will be buried with them.

Best thing for me was switching to a smaller aftermarket steering wheeling, and changing the stock cluster bulbs to red leds

stopped using it daily. You stop focusing on the poor mpg, rattles and niggles and just enjoy the occasion of when you take it out.

im the opposite to the comment before - best thing I did was start driving it daily!

couldn't stand seeing the poor thing just sitting all lonely by itself never being driven...too good of a car for that.

I dont care about fuel, rattles etc when I stomp on the loud pedal it just makes me smile again and again.
