Best place to tap for oil pressure sensor

I've just purchased a Defi D oil pressure gauge and was wondering what the best place was to tap for the sensor.

I'd heard that many FD owners use the Greddy oil block adapter (or equivalent) for temp and pressure, but most say that this makes changing the oil filter nearly unmanageable (i.e. removing TPS, UIM etc.). I'd rather not install a filter relocation kit.

I have a replacement pedestal amde from billet aluminum, that is a direct replacement for the OE pedestal. It the same height, but has two NPT ports, bung for the oil cooler line, and a deeper resivoir to oil does not spill everywere. So removing the oil filter is the same as stock, or you can just replace the OE sensor.

I have the Greddy oil adapter. There definitely is less room, but changing your filter is still very doable w/o undoing/taking off anything. But you do need to be careful not to move the TPS. You'll notice if you do, however, since your idle will be off. All in all, it's not as bad as it sounds

Shorter oil filter

For those using the Greddy oil block adapter, is there perhaps a shorter or somewhat smaller oil filter that can replace the OEM?

have you seen the size of the stock one? Its pretty small. my friend runs a quick change oil place and he says its the smallist one they have.

You can drill/tap the banjo bolt for the rear oil cooler line. Clean, simple, and works very well.

IMO, a much better solution than tapping the banjo bolt. It's just plug and play and doesn't add extra height like the GReddy addon.

This solution WILL NOT WORK with the Defi sensor, at least not the oil temp sensor. The sensor is too big to allow good oil flow while still getting a good reading. Again, these comments apply to the oil TEMP, not the pressure.
