maybe you didnt catch this. but we do have a archive section that you are able to look through for threads about common questions that have been answered. you can also use the search function in combination with this section and ALL sections.
have a better day.

I might take hell for this but its hard to beat the modified stock airbox if space isn't an issue (ie large stock mount or front mount IC). By modified I mean blocking the IC duct intake and opening up the bottom and routing ducted fresh air in from the passenger side. Then drop in a K&N. Several hundred bucks cheaper than aftermarket and the dyno won't show a difference!

I just got mine...Im keeping some of my pettit parts and boxing it in with their box. the pettit looks home made...their box solved that problemo.

I've heard of this intake, but have never seen a picture. Can you post a pic, or point me to one that's already posted.

Thanks,

the box that Border-Racing in japan isn't flashy, but it doesn't look ugly and definitelhy looks like it gets the job done. has anyone made a copy of these yet?

m2 and pettit i woudl say are the best if u wanna waste money, or make something yourself, which is not too hard and will cost you about a 1/3 what they selll for

Definetly go for cold air induction whether you make it yourself or not. Don't get the ones without a heat shield. I got the apexi intake and regret it. I have to sell it now in order to get a large SMIC. Besides having better intake temps you get a intake that can work inconjuction with any aftermarket intercooler.

You are right. I went to the track alot this year. I mean I ran probably 40 runs. I can say that I went for about 3 months ever wed with my stock airbox. after I punched a hole in the bottom and routed a hose to the nose of the car I gained 2.5 MPH on my trap and 2/10th on my 1/4.

I got an aftermarket intake to make my engine cleaner and my trap dropped a bit.

if you ever go for a larger and i mean LARGER stock mount intercooler you will need to get rid of teh stock airbox and make some room, you get more flow and more room

Why do they charge so much for the M2 intake?
