So they make a street strip clutch with an upgraded pressure plate? Do you have the model/part number for the one you are referring to?

Thanks
Chuck

Just talked to Pete at SPEC. Sounds like they have a real nice clutch... He recomended their stage 3 6 puck. He said a stage 2 can handle the power no problem... it just can't handle the abuse (assuming that's pretty comparable to the ACT Street/Strip). So he said a stage 3 would be what we want. It comes in either a 6 or 4 puck, but he said to get the 6 puck because it is a little smoother. He says this clutch is designed to be very streetable. Upgraded pressure plate, billet steel disk, etc etc... 499 bucks part number SZ473. Sounds like this is the route we'll probably go. I've always heard good about the clutch's they make for Camaro's so I'm sure they're the same way with these... Thanks for all the help.

I have a mcLeod 6 puck that I've abused for about 30K+ miles. Still holds strong as ever. Not the easiest to drive (pedal is effortless, just the damn sensitivity of the thing), but livable. LegendR35 also has the mcLeod 6 puck. Kinda pricey, but it'll hold.

Cool, thanks for all the opinions. I think we're going to be really happy with our choice from what you all are saying and what I heard from Pete at SPEC...

Thanks
Chuck
