Best combination for good flow - less noise?

Hi,

I need something as quiet as possible. Tired of police harrassment. I heard Racing Beat dual tip is great, but will RX7Store's midpipe really helps reduce the noise?

I actually have a single turbo with external wastegate, 3'' downpipe, 3'' midpipe and 5'' fart can.

RB with a resonated or highflow cat will be your best option.

Having an external wastegate doesn't help you reduce noise, especially under throttle

I agree with Hondas in running a resonated midpipe. I used to run a Borla XR-1 and Racing Beat twins and my single turbo'd car was extremely quiet.

RX7store's resonated midpipe is great. It does not greatly reduce flow but is very good at reducing noise levels (best of both worlds). Is your wastegate dumped to atmosphere or re-plumbed into the downpipe? If it is not re-plumbed then obviously do that. I have not personally heard the RB catback but I have always seen on here that it is a very nice toned exhaust with reasonable sound levels.

With your combination it really doesn't sound (pardon the pun) like "harassment".

I'm betting its not so much the noise but a 5in fart can that is getting you the negative attention. I used to have a big *** cat back on my car that would get me pulled over all the time so I switched to the rb dual tip and haven't been stopped since. I think my new setup is actually a bit louder now too =)

theres a straight through muffler that we use in our Lexus IS-F QES (quad exhaust system) from ISS Forged...it has no restriction but really quiets down the car nicely

heres a pic of what it looks like, just imagine them without the stainless steel tips that we put on there:

Does anyone have any experience with the Hushpower series stuff from Flowmaster? Seems like it may be a viable option.

Just get the RB duals and either a high flow cat (RX7.com) or RX7$tore's magnaflow mid pipe.

If you want to try welding a muffler into your existing exhaust stay away from hushpower and other crap. Get a Borla or Magnaflow that is stainless steel and rated for the high temps our cars see.
