Started looking at this and I called my insurance GEICO. They are affiliated with American Collectors Insurance. I'm looking into Grundy since they don't have mileage limit but I like Hagerty more so far because they also cover your garage items (ie tools, memorabilia and spare parts). Not sure if Grundy does (I have to call them).
Thanks for the info though. I wasn't aware of such type of insurance.

When I called around for collectors insurance (with agreed value) back in mid '00s, a few of the companies wanted the daily driver to be no more than 4 years old.
From what I recall Haggerty and Grundy both have the same company underwriting their policy.
Also, in the last few years I hear that barrett-jackson (yes, the auction house) has very competitive quotes for collectors policies; though I haven't called to inquire yet.

Hagerty ended up accepting! They said that they don't really get concerned if you are under 3500 miles / year and they don't mind my beater being an old FD. They made an exception for me apparently! Search over for now! It is a bit pricier than I like but its not bad since I have a $0 deductible.
