beeping driving me crazy and running battery flat

when you open the drivers door its the same beeping you get if you leave the lights on...but the lights arent on...in fact i cant find anything that is turned on and it has just started to do this. but it has also developed a new sound... when i start the engine the beeping changes tone and gets slower and continues for the whole time im driving until the engine is turned off.

its like something is left on but i cant find anything and as far as im aware im not doing anything different and i have never heard that beeping while the engine is running before!

has anyone had anything similar cos this is driving me mad....

check the buttons that the door presses. If one of those popped out it is going to act like the door is open.

Low coolant alarm doesn't "beep"; it's a constant buzzer tone accompanied by a warning light on the coolant temp gauge. It'd be kind of difficult to confuse that with the same warning beep you get with leaving the lights or door open.

Theres a box located behind the drivers side kick panel. It known as a flasher box. Theres actually two flasher boxes, the longer one has two sets of harnesses going into it. Mine slowly started failing. My key light started blinking, then my brake light, etc. The boxes purpose is to beep or buzz or blink when certain lights or switches are on.

Pull the kick panel and listen where the buzz is coming from. The flasher box has a small speaker in it. The wiring diagram will tell you which lights and buzzers are controlled by this box.
