Bee*R Ignition System

Quick question,

I've been seeing that the Bee*R Missfire system is more then just for show-off and big flames (like we need more of thouse) and is a real 2 step/launch control unit.
But can it also do full throttle shifts?

Probably when you have the gas pedal down all the way and when you shift you don't let go of the gas pedal.

are you talking about power shifting? ie. not taking your foot off the gas while shifting up?

What he said. Will powershifting really help you? It sounds like it'll do more damage than good.

There are 2 things you need for a no-lift shift to work :

First : a dog box
Second : some form of cutting engine power while changing gears

the second can be done by just cutting the coil output (as you've described) but if you try a flat shift set-up on a syncro box the transmision WILL NOT be happy and will destroy it's self before too long.

yeah, i've been looking @ dog box's for a while now.... alot cheaper then a complete sequencial gear box.
For the second part, thats my question... would the Bee*R work for this? Or do I need something like the MSD 3-step?

Like sk8erpunk1983 said, Racelogic or even some Standalone ECUs. The way it works is that it connects to the Clutch switch, as you depress the clutch it activates the Full throttle shift on the Racelogic , the RPM drops to whaatever level you set ( I have my unit's rev-limit set to 6500rpm), then when you release the clutch, the rev-limit is removed and the RPM builds to normal levels, gives you a 0.5 second edge on each shift
