The car looks real clean. I have never really been a fan of the scoot hood though. I bet it would look better if it was painted to match the car too. I love black on rx7s but silver remains my favorite color for the car.

Nice, but I prefer a stock or MS hood. Is it your car?

Am I the only one who thinks carbon fiber is tacky? Not ragging on anyone who has it.. Just an opinion.

Cars look great though.. Even with the CF.

on a street car it is - or might as well be. If you are setting up a drag car or an ultra-serious cicuit racer - and have the money to waste/spare - then perhaps dropping a few lbs might be logical - but on a street car it's overkill. People who disagree might want to weigh the stock items first...

On some cars (but then fg is a more economical option)- yes, on the FD - no

I like the 99 spec front. Anyone found the 99 spec without the license plate holder on it? IMHO I don't like the look of CF, and most don't save weight because most of them are overlaid on fiberglass or another material.

See how bad that hood lines up? The rims are ok, but they need a deeper dish. I'd perfer a light weight racing wheel to compliment the lightweight carbon parts/lexan window. Other then thats its very nice!

Very nice looking seven, someday mine will have good black paint like that, but today is not that day.

Sickass7-Cwest makes a kit that is very similar to the 99 spec front end without the license plate holder

Exactly.

I wasn't implying that it wasn't functional as Mako Racing thinks.. merely that it looks tacky. Not like the weight savings are that big of a deal on FDs to begin with.. They are normally at quite an advantage stock.
