When I go to try and start the car i turn the key to its first click. all the stuff lights up ect... so i then go to crank the engine over. nothing everything just stops no inside light ect...
well its not the batetry because i took it out of a car that i used to tow the car a bit it didn't work. put that battery back in the other car and it started right up.

The lights just go out, or do they dim? Do you hear a "click" from the starter, when you turn the key? Has the engine run, or been turned over by hand?
If it is a known good battery, and you are not hearing the starter bendix trying to engage the flywheel, check your starter connections, fuses/relays.
If you are hearing the click from the starter, then I'd lean towards a bad starter.

Try this: get up under the drivers side, right behind the wheel, find the starter, and hit it with a hammer a few times. Whack it pretty good. Then try to start the car. If it works, your starter is having issues, either rebuild it or replace it.
FD ignition switches are notorious for failing. Take a 10 gauge wire and jumper from the positive terminal to the 'S' terminal of the starter (the outboard spade-type connector on the starter, there will be a female coupling over it but there is enough terminal exposed to facilitate the test) if it turns over the starter is fine, suspect the ignition switch.
Make sure you are in Neutral, by the way, before you do this.

Check your cables, both positive and negative. There might be some bad corrosion. You may have to replace the cables or at least trim about an inch off of them and re-attach to the terminal ends.
