Battery Relocation - Accessing Rear bins from under the car??

I want to throw a battery in my bin behind my seat. Otherwise I have to use a crapass 220CCA odyssey which is waaaaaaaaay too weak. I'd go with a 500+ CCA battery but in order to do this I have to relocate it.

My question is...

Can I access the rear bins from under the car?

If so, do I have to remove anything from under the car to get to them, or can I just drill away?

Throw me some info if possible, thanks guys.

woah!! why do you need to drill? the bins come out from inside the car and you can run the power wire from the engine compartment through the grommet opening behind the foot rest on the drivers side. there is an opening that goes through the firewall and into the engine bay underneath the inner wheel liner on the DS. Don't drill through the firewall or anything else for that matter. Make sure you put at least a 200 amp fuse breaker between the power and the the battery terminal, that way you don't cause any fires.

I want to run the wires from outside the car. I don't want to go through the firewall, i rather go under and up. I hear the brake lines go through and all you have to do is drill a hole in the compartment for the wires to get into the bin.

I just want to do it the easiest way possible =P

You can do exactly what you're wanting to do without drilling anything! There's already a hole for the battery cable to go thru, and an extra threaded hole for the ground wire to attach to. Pull the bins out and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

There isn't a hole in the bottom of the bin, I still need to drill holes in the bins right?

Sorry for the stupid questions, I'm tired. Hah

put the drill down and search for the various threads with pics that show how to do this. you shouldn't have any questions after that.

why would you run a wire outside the car? what happens if the insulation around the power cable gets breached and the wire grounds it self on metal. I find this to be the half *** way of doing it. I had the same issues when I did mine, like I said do not drill through anything short of the bottom of the bin to get the wires and or battery mounted right. Find the grommet holes and run it inside the cab, do it up right and play it safe.. otherwise tell me one good reason to run it outside the car?
