battery re-location positions?

Has anyone done a battery re-location in a place other than the storage compartment behind the passenger seat? I would like to get it out of the engine compartment, but do not want to sacrifice what little storage space there is in the passenger compartment. Any suggestions?

I put mine under the rear strut bar, behind the passenger seat. You can run cables under the bins and up through the small access door on the side of the shock enclosure. This puts it a bit higher off the floor, but further back than in the bins. I would suggest you put it in a battery box with a circut breaker and perhaps a off switch. By the way, there is a bolt in the chassis under a pull out in the rear rug. I susspect that it was for the boze system, but it is great for bolting down your battery box.

Happy Running,
Ken

Ditto. I bolted threw the floor though. and grounded to the hole next to the spare tire. Cut little slices in the carpet to bring cables threw. Installed a batt. box and fuse. remote off switch is next.
