battery cable loose
any help would be greatly appreciated.....I parked my car last night and everything was fine. This morning when I attempted to start it I had no lights ie no electricity...simple enough I check under the hood and the positive lead off my battery had come loose and was hanging in the air...I hooked it back up everything looks good...I turn the key and nothing..... a small relay inside the car clicks but nothing else happens... the starter does not even click. I checked fuses and for loose connections. I thought it was as simple as hooking the battery terminal back up but i guess I was wrong. I cannot figure it out....anyone have an idea..thanks

check for melted wires and burn marks under the hood around the battery, if you parked the car up and the next day the wire is loose and the battery discharged it could possibly have shorted out and discharged your battery and friend most of your fuses.
Check fuseboxes etc, and charge in the battery.

thanks for the response..the battery is reading 12.7 volts....I tried to see if the cable shorted anywhere (scortch marks) but found nothing......is there anyway it could have messed with the stater solenoid or something of that nature?
