Thumbs up Basic bolt ons are enough for me

i had always dreamed of a 400 RWHP FD but now that I have a well tuned car with intake, DP, and CB boosting 12 psi the power is good enough for me. i cant even imagine driving a car with more power. maybe i am just an inexperienced driver but with the mods i have right now i am a happer camper anyone else content with the power of their car?

Add a high flow cat and a nice IC and that would be my ideal set up. Along with all the reliability mods of course...oh and boosting stock levels

Yeah, I've got a K&N drop in and DP. I am pretty cool with my set up. I am basically not going to upgrade ECU so the only other thing that I will be looking at is a CB.

Horsepower is like a drug, at first it's nice to just have a downpipe and maybe a catback. Before long that just doesn't satisfy you anymore, so you move up to an intake and computer. Before you know it, you need an intercooler, single turbo, fuel mods, mid pipe and water injection. When you start injecting your mods you know you're real horsepower junkie! Fortunately, I'm still only a social user of HP, but I feel the cravings all the time!

Basically what I'm trying with this analogy is, you may be happy with your HP for now, but you get used to it, you build up an imunity to it, so you'll want more, and trust me, you will want more at some point. Then you will have to see your local parts pusher to get your fix!

Regards,
Frank

I wouldn't be boosting 12psi on the stock ecu. It will only take one nice crisp night or something for you to lean out. But yeah, horsepower is addictive. You WILL get used to the power and you will want more. Unless you drive a slower car on a regular basis..then you might be okay....hehe

I drive my sisters mercury tracer in the winter... so in the summers my 7 feels like its moving like a bat out of hell. Nothing like moving from a slow *** 4 banger iwth an auto tranny to a twin turbo in the warmer weather.. but even then i want more HP

I started out the same way like you did and now I can't get enough, just take a look at my sig. Now I have plans to spend over $10,000 on my car when the spring comes. Will this addiction ever stop? Hell no.

"Mr Brownstone" sums it up pretty good. Funny. Good quote.
