ball and spring boost controller help

I originally had a bleeder valve which would make me spike to 15psi and would then come down to 10psi after 5krpm. i then decided to use a plain vaccum hose to go from the wastegate to the turbo compressor nipple which gave me a solid 10psi boost but boost response was bad so i decided to make this http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/mbc.html and installed it. I tested it out and boost response came back but the boost pattern is weird now, it goes up to 10psi quickly but then drops to 6-7psi (the needle on the boost gauge flutters) after 5krpm and it makes a weird low pitch whistling noise which kinda pulses. not really sure what this is but it seems kinda weird that boost pressure would drop with putting the ball and spring boost controller in after using just a straight vaccum line boost controller. any ideas from those who have used this ball and spring type boost controller?

Are you you running the stock sequentials, or something else? I'm currently using two of these (well, actually the JoeP controllers with a custom lighter spring...I chickened out of the Home Depot approach!) and if you do a search for Damian's name and ball and spring controllers you'll find a thread entitled something like "Perfect 10-8-10 boost pattern." This thread had a ton of great info as to how to set things up with the stock sequentials and a pair of these controllers. If you've got only one...are you retaining the stock pill for precontrol?

I'm wondering if closing to much of the pressure to the wastegate would make a surging noise im hearing, its a low pitch pulsing whistling noise. anyone ever get this from the stock twins?
