Baker Vacuum Hoses
Baker Vacuum Hoses
I noticed in the Hose Techniques kit, they use 3.5mm for the solenoids. If I order Baker hose would I just use 4mm for all of that? Any problems with the Baker hose??
Thanks-
Thanks-
The Baker Precision hose is very nice stuff.
If I ever go through all the vacuum hoses in my car I think I will skip most of the zip ties, the previous owner used them on all the hoses and now if I have to remove a vacuum hose it is very difficult to remove the zip tie without harming the hose itself.

The Baker 4 mm hose works great. I am going on three years with my set up and the lines are still supple and holding vacuum pressure. In fact, I think it is a blessing that I did not zip tie the hoses. Removal with a zip tie leads to a lot of fumbling around in close quarters and with the solenoid's aging as they are it can lead to snapped nipples when you need to pull hoses off. Even if they "stick" too well, it is simple to slice the hose and remove it without damaging the solenoid.
