Bad plugs?

I have a 93' R1 with 27,500 miles and ran into my first problem..... It won't start... the lights come on it turns over and over and over again. I jumped the car with another one time and it worked for a few days and now it's acting up again my mods are on the sig they were just installed last month everything was fine untill i was driving home and the noticed that the rpms fell and went back up...strange but i pretended that it didnt even happen and started watching and sure enough this time the car just shut off. i pulled over and then tried to start it and no light no nothing. then magic my car started and i drove home and everything was just fine. I let the car cool down at idle for a minute or so and shut her off the next day it wouldnt start like i decribed the 1st time i waiting to get a tune because im running rich. and i have taken very good care of my baby never going WOT or anything close to that i did drive it for about a week during the nice afternoons for like 20 mins never any problems untill that night when it shutdown on me. btw the PFC reads 10.1 volts when turned on then drops to 9s when trying to start. im waiting on a set of plugs (9's)

Thanks,
John

This is probably not the plugs. Check the alternator and battery.

10.1v is not high enough. It should be at least 12, and 13-14 when the car actually is started.

I would try charging the battery, and if it starts, verify 13+ volts. I would expect to need to replace the battery, alternator, or both.

battery is for starting the car after that the alt. takes over.
get the alt tested at autozone they will do it for free.
but.... it doesnt sound like ether to me maybe a bad ground, or ignition switch.

if it was the alt. the lights would go dim and you would have to rev it to keep it going.

The buzzing sound is probably the ISC solenoid (idle speed control), it is located at the firewall side of the throttle body.

sounds like it, if no matter what you have to keep your foot on the pedal to keep it alive,
then yes it is the alternator.
you should also have an autozone in bham.. get it tested

thanks
