it's good to hear you're not extremely injured and the accident wasn't your fault. it sucks to see your car damaged. the only thing i can say is i advise you to get a lawyer. you can sue upto 3 times the amount of your medical bills, so physical therapy is key. good luck with everything.

I hate old people drivers. Sorry to hear about your car man, good luck with it. But seriously, you shouldn't be able to drive after 70.

I realize this happened over a month ago, but how did it work out with USAA? Did they cover your mods? I have my insurance through them and have wondered about that if I should ever get into a significant collision. The lady I spoke with on the phone just said to have everything documented and I'd be covered without any additional coverage.

First of all...this still hasn't been settled. USAA offered me $15,000 for my car. They said that if I dispute that, I need to hire a third party appraiser to value my car, then they could possibly re-assess the value. I'm trying to go through the at-fault's insurance company (Response Insurance) Which happens to be dragging their feet (should be called slow response insurance). I'm hoping to have an answer by early next week as to what they are willing to offer me. If I'm unhappy with that offer, then I'll dispute it with them...If I get nowhere with them, then back to USAA with the third party appriaser.
I've had a headache for the last month!

I did...they didn't seem to care that much...from my understaninding of the insurance business, they first try to low-ball you, hoping you accept their offer, then if you appeal hopefully they might consider the modifications.
I'll let you know.

Still Haven't settled the deal with my FD, But I did happen to come across a beautiful 1994 FD just like mine: Montego Blue with Tan interior...I happen to like the color combo, I feel it's a little more sophisticcated than some other colors.
This car is MINT! Absolutely nothing wrong with the car inside or out. The only thing bad about the car is this guys choice of rims...nasty '90's bling. He's owned it for over 10 years and it only has 33,000 original miles on it with absolutely no mods!
I bought it yesterday with the original wheels on it in West Palm Beach and can't believe how different it is from my previous street ported, full exhuast '93.
Now the question is, do I leave it unmolested, or have some fun with it?
Here's the link where I found the car:
