I don't know about you, but I don't let anyone drive my car, dad or not.

Same here. Nobody touches my car. I won't even give some people rides in it because they'll mess it all up. But i'm ****....in a good way.

Rich kids and FD3S's - how boring...grow up first, get an education, start a career, learn some manners, get a good haircut and an Armani suit, and then play around with sports cars. Your daddy isn't going to be around to buy you toys for the rest of your life, and is doing you a huge disservice by even considering to buy you an FD3S. It's a money pit, period.
God shoot yourself right now! Some of us work harder than your educated, high classed, slick hair cutted, armani suit wearing ***. The car is not a Ferrari, relax. It might be a money pit, but then again there are other things that are money pits as well--namely a g/f, but that doesn't stop you from having one does it?

Thanks guys, and thanks street king for the link I'll check it out in a sec. I've read a hell of alot on the rx-7 and I've learned alot already. This also isn't my first car, the first was a 180k milage 1988 300zx base model. Fun little car but it was driven to hell and back by the previous owners. I know the FD isn't the most reliable car out there and it takes alot of work but believe me I'm willing to do it. I work alot so I should be able to cover any really bad problems that would happen to the car, I've got about 4k saved up for just incase the engine needs to be replaced. I've been shopping around, I for sure want a japanese car, I don't particularly like 90+ 300zx's the looks just don't get me too excited, and one of my brothers drives a stealth while the other has a 3000gt so I don't want to follow in their footsteps (plus I think they are too bulky) and as far as the supra goes, my Dad just doesn't like them, he won't even come close to budging on that. So the best car I've found has been the rx-7. I guess thats about all I had to say, oh yeah to the people that said I obviously didn't know anything about the FD b/c I asked this question, I basicly figured my dad was wrong, but I needed to prove it to him, thats why I started this thread and asked for links.
Thanks guys,
-Chris.
