Bad Fuel Pressure Regulator?
Bad Fuel Pressure Regulator?
I have a newly built engine and I'm running an Aeromotive FPR. The car isn't getting enough gas to start. Also the liquid filled pressure gauge is reading only 18psi when I'm cranking, I think the gauge might be broken also since it's only got about 1/4 of liquid left. We thought it might of been the fuel filter so we replaced it and it's still doing the same thing. Could it be a bad FPR??
I would call aeromotive tech support and ask them how to test if its bad or not adjusted properly. I don't know how their tech support is, but ask for an engineer or actual person in the service dept. Sales/Customer service reps usually arent very helpful @ any company.
oh btw, where did you buy it from? I'm about to buy an aeromotive 13109 2morrow for my fuel setup. lol

i had a similar issue i thought it was the regulator, it turned out to be a dying fuel pump. pull your fuel pump and run some power to it listen to it and see if it sounds weak. i know the aeromotive FPR only uses a ball as the regulator and they rarely fail.

I'm running a Deatschwerks fuel pump, it runs 300 lph so I think it should be plenty. I'll check the install. We sprayed starting fluid in the engine and it'll start just fine until the lighter fluid is all gone.
