Did you search autotrader.com or anything......I know most of the "Good" Rx-7's up here in PA sells for 16g and up, anything lower than that probally is not good.

RX-7s for sale starting 16,995+

LAMOTORCARS.com specializes in RX-7s about 90% of the cars he sells are RX-7s and for the most part are wonderful cars!

RX-7 with 3year/36000 mi warrenty price depends on what it has mileage and what it model, new engine.... list goes on. WWW.LAMOTORCARS.COM ask for Lance

Second make sure u know what your getting into, what model make you want such as it came in tt and non tt..... I would probably tell you not to buy 93 but I guess there all about the same if your willing to put the work in but atleast try to get a 94 or 95 however they will be more expensive.

Also know that if it has about 50,000+ miles on it that it will need a new engine if it has not already been replaced and it costs about 3,500+ to replace the engine and then you have to find a shop to do the swap more $$$$..... plus new clutch and other parts$$$$ and if your under 25 insurance is pretty high..... 2 door sports car no rear seats....

if you want me to send you a checklist or somthing I will becasue I honestly dont feel like typing out the list of possible problems you'll run into regardless of whom the car is bought. To get an idea your buying somewhere around a 10+ year old car now..... price tag ranges from 500 junkyard special to around 25,000 overestimated..... plus it will probably need new suspension, breaks, tyers, not including much of what i listed above..... and ure still run the risk of having problems so just know these cars are great and I love mine but I also bought it knowing that it would need work. I'm almost done paying for it and it needs breaks, suspesion, upgraded cooling ect...... thanks guys I really have been enjoying this fourm its made me decide on this car and there is always someone willing to help with the silliest of questions!

Heh well its nice to know.... I SOLD MY CRAPPY AS MUSTANG V6 1997 for this car and love it! DEFINATLY CONSIDER LAMOTORCARS..... all of his mechanical wise are good.... but rotary's are alot diffrent then HONDAS and FORDS hehehhe ^+^

WELL it did cost me a bit more then A FORD but well women come and go..... and the RX-7 really wasnt the reason.... but hehe well I'm happier then I've been in 3 years so I guess thast somthing.....

AUTOCROSSING MY LOVELY RX-7 hehe and I dont have to take it to dinner and a movie and listen to it complain about how unfair it is that shes 19 and doesnt know how to drive a car or own one(good lesson on why not to drop outa highschool and not going to college, NO TOYS)...... only filler up and drive! ZOOM ZOOM HEH!

if it has been taken care of, it shouldn't need a rebuild til 70k to 100k miles. also, a malloy reman is only ~$1950 plus install.

This website has some terrific resources regarding buying an RX-7 (specifically, a 3rd gen) and a lot of information on the reliability of such.

http://robrobinette.com/buyaused.htm

I researched RX-7s for almost five years on and off before finally buying one.

Now I own two, so I'm obviously a satisfied customer.

There are 8 RX-7's around the ATL area for under $18k

If you are ever in town, I'd be glad to go look at some RX-7's with you - if you need help.

Pull up in an FD to look at an FD...

It's probably closer than 5 miles from my house...PM me, if you want to give me a call Sunday/Monday(afternoon)...we might be able to talk that price down lower, it's dropped already so they're ready to let her go (I talked 3g's off my car)

*hell I won't be on the forum after today until next week...404.273.1633, Carson - don't be afraid to call me, I'd love to help.

You might want to keep the Honda as a DB (Daily Beater).

that's really not a bad idea. especially if you choose to buy one that needs some pretty decent work done right away..

an added bonus of having a daily beater-you can list it as your 'weekend' car or 'pleasure' car for insurance purposes. that helps to drop the price a nice chunk of change.

of course, if you don't pay insurance, disregard my last few sentences

Yea
With $1500 into the car it saftely is low into the 11's.
I don't see any 7's running in the low 11's with 1500 to 2K in mods.
It's all relivant. the 03 cobra is the the fastest car on the market under 50K
Sure you may have beat one but if your cars stock your full of ****.
If you have a modded car it's irrelivant.

Try the classified section of the web site. I'm pretty sure one is for sale in Georgia right now.

I'll be more than happy to look at an rx7 with you.

Take a look at this page, if anything interests you we can take a look. Furthermore, check the classified section of this forum.
