Backfire after heat soak

My car overall runs great and hardly backfires as long as the car is moving and it’s getting good air flow. But after engine shut off and restarts, and everything under the hood is heat soaked it’s a different story in stop and go traffic. At times, it back fires every time that I let off the gas pedal which gets quite annoying. Is there a fix for this?

when the exhaust is hot you will get more backfires. if its hot enough it will simply ignite the air coming out of the tail pipe...
