yeah, apparently there are backseats you can put into the RX7. NOt sure if it was an option or not. But you do see some people selling the set for something around 800 bucks to 1000 bucks for the conversion. I have yet to see pics however.

For the rear seats, it was an option in Japan only, maybe other markets. But it was not an option in the US. They are very rare. They look very bare, kind of like an afterthought. Remind me of the Porsche 911 seats, which is basically like 2 pieces of leather strewn over some carpet.

Hey .. my car has back seats and I managed to fit 5 girls into my car one night... not much use other than keeping a few bottles upright ( water,coolant, oil)... it's nice to have. On average, it comes in quite handy at times. I don't like to take two people in the back..but one on the passenger side is cool.
Only JDM cars came with the 2+2 Back seat options. I have actually NEVER seen an FD without back seats..they all seem to have them.. so I would tend to believe that they didn't come with cargo covers like yours do in the US of A
