hehe...i obvously am not looking to spend 4K to rebuild. As per 10 -12 PSI, the RS model comes with a higher boost out of factory standards. My concern is that on 2nd gear, the boost creeps to 14PSI, plus a rocket of fire out of my catback on redline. Anyways, on Friday am going to remove the mid pipe and keep my boost back to 10-12PSI. Like that i have no worries! :-)

Will be leaving my catback and downpipe, invest in a Power FC and someone to hook it up for me and then might put te mid pipe back in...depends on the boost creeps.

What i wanted to ask you is this: What are the 3 main mods you mentioned and what you meant by the 1 or 2 tenth thingy? :-)

Thanks

Matthew

1 to 2 tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile is what I was meaning. Basically the time difference you will experience in a 1/4 mile drag run.

Here is the typical mod sequence:

Around 600 dollars can take 1 sec off of your stock good condition twin turbo RX7 in the 1/4.

The three mods are Catback, Downpipe, and intake.

From there it's a steep jump of close to 3600-4000 dollars, and that can get you
another second off your 1/4mile time.

These mods are Power FC/Aftermarket ECU, Intercooler, Midpipe, Ignition, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Rail, Fuel pump, and clutch.

If you go single Turbo you will shave another 1-2 seconds off your 1/4mile time, however prepare yourself for 5K+ another motor.

Basically my opinion if I were to do it all over again. I would put the first phase of mods on the car, and leave the stock computer in place. I would turn it into non Sequential, and be content with a high 12 1/4 mile car until something broke and forced me into something in the second phase.
good luck.
